Who is Grayson?

Grayson Schultz (he/him) is an activist, educator, researcher, writer, and general polymath currently living on the unceded and stolen lands of the Osage, Shawnee, and Kaskaskia peoples as well as those from the Hopewell and Adena cultures in southeastern Ohio. You can read his reflexivity statement on his website.

Working as a Care Coordinator with Included Health means that Grayson gets to advocate for and help LGBTQ+ folks navigate the minefield that is healthcare every day. He also works part-time as a content update editor in the health field for Dotdash Meredith in addition to handling communications for the Trans Counseling Advocacy Research and Education (CARE) Collaborative, a psychology collaborative based in Madison, Wisconsin.

When he’s not working… Let’s be honest, Grayson is almost always working. (Thanks, ADHD!) From giving presentations and talks for organizations, companies, and academia to freelance writing and sex education, his computer gets a lot of use. With that work and his sometimes-daily #GiveUsThisDayOurDailyThread educational Twitter threads, Grayson really enjoys focusing on how we can all best advocate for communities that are forcibly, continually, and purposefully oppressed - especially if that means learning about and unpacking our privileges. His research interests include discussions about sexuality and gender between patients and medical providers, LGBTQIA2S+ health and wellbeing, chronic illness and disability, healthcare navigation, transformative justice, systems change, and liberation.

Notably, Grayson is a huge workaholic. (Not surprising at this point, is it?) When he does have free time, he spends most of it learning and doing self-work, cooking up a storm, enjoying various forms of media, and renovating his first home with his partner McGravin and their two dogs Hank and Dean.

You’ll get full access to the newsletter and website, never missing an update. I don’t plan on releasing a ton of work that is limited to paid subscribers, though, so don’t feel as though you have to go that route.

Plus, you’ll become part of a community of people who share your interests. The best part? This is a no-assholes-allowed zone.
